Hi everyone. I have a Strongbox 5250v and I noticed a weird behavior with this box. In the WebGUI the Interfaces List shows me some MAC addresses, listed bellow: Those UP interfaces (2.1 and 2.2) are members of a Trunk and this trunk is member of two VLANs (internal and external). When go to CLI and run a ifconfig, the internal and external interfaces shows me MAC addresses of interfaces that are with state DOWN and have no cable plugged in it (interfaces 1.2 and 1.3). external Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:23:E9:CE:0C:03 internal Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:23:E9:CE:0C:04 I've updated this box from 11.5.4 to 11.6.1 and then to 12.1.1, in all versions I had this "inconsistency" of information. Although there is this difference between WebGUI and the real MAC Addresses in the network, everything is working properly (until now). Have anyone seen this situation before?599Views0likes3CommentsF5OS missing interfaces in tenant
Hello, I'm totally new to F5OS, I'm configuring a rSeries 2600 (1.5.1-12283) and deploying a tenant (BIG-IP 15.1.5.1 Build 0.0.14 Point Release 1). All seemed to work perfectly fine both in the host and the tenant deployments, but looking at the interfaces section on the tenant the list is totally empty! And in VLAN properties the "interface" section is missing. I assigned VLAN's to interfaces in the Network Settings at F5OS level - would it be by design that the interfaces are no longer showed in the tenant ? I tried to find info in the doc with no results... Any info/help would be more than welcome :-) Thanks & have a good day, Gerald99Views0likes3CommentsMAC address not showing up in LLDP packet
Hello, If you look at the picture above, you can see that Arista's chassis ID is written as mac-address. Is it possible to change the chassis ID of the F5 device to the MAC address? Currently, the chassis ID is transmitted as a serial Number. This is an inquiry related to lldp. please answer about my question. thank you23Views0likes0Comments
