high memory utilization
3 TopicsHigh Memory utilization observed in Solarwind SNMP Manager.
Hey Folks! Could you please help me here? I have total 4 F5 LTM 1600 appliance. 3 of them are running on 11.2.1 HF6 and one is running on 10.2.3. I have integrated an external SNMP server i.e. Solarwind with all of these LTMs and I am seeing 96% Memory utilization for all of the appliances. It doesn't make sense to me, as there are 4 appliances and how it is possible to have 96% for all of them? ![Image Text](/Portals/0/Users/055/39/131639/F5 Memory Error.jpg) What could be the possible issue? Hello, Recently we had a problem where BIGIP started killing several tcp connections. Analyzing the issue we discovered that the TMM "used memory" was over 85% and BIGIP began to kill the connections. So, we started looking why TMM was using so much memory and found out that the "Memory Pool" with the name "DoS Layer 7 ACY" was using 2.7G (a much higher value than any other entry in the memory pool table). Does this "DoS Layer 7 ACY" use TMM's allocated memory? If yes, is there a way to reduce this amount of memory? ps: BIGIP VE 12.1.1 (LTM, ASM, AVR, AFM and AAM); We use "DOS Layer 7" feature in 15 Virtual Servers (mainly to block bots); We have 5.6G allocated to TMM. Thank you, Cristiano364Views0likes4CommentsF5 i5800 vCMP dedicated high memory
Hello Guys, a client have 2 F5 i5800 physical appliances and there is requirement to use virtualization and have more than one F5 context/vCMP. So I already configured and installed 2 vCMPs which are HA pairs and work fine. Active/Standby vCMPs reside on different physical F5s. BUT after a few weeks I saw F5 hardware appliances are working constantly at more than 90% memory usage. Everything is working fine but this is bothering me. Could there be any issue or maybe this is normal? I was searching for more than 2 weeks here and other resources without any result. I also used iHealth but there was no "memory usage warning" or something similar. Can anyone give some advice on this?354Views0likes2Comments
