Hello Community, One of our F5 devices got to hung state after /var got 100%. I am not able to access the device via GUI and tacacs/root passwords not working via CLI. Device is up and reachable. So, i connected F5 console via RJ45 to a console server. From console server i tried to access F5 and getting login page. But when i try a reboot for password recovery i am not seeing boot page or GRUB option. (steps : Restarting the BIG-IP system in single-user mode (GRUB 0.97) (f5.com)) Please let me know if Connecting console via RJ45 will not help in this console process or not. console prompt once F5 done reboot. I am not getting physical support for do serial connection via laptop.so we done RJ45 connection to console server(Raritan).Solved54Views0likes2CommentsConsole connection between Avocent and F5
Hello, I'm having issues accessing F5(3900) from Avocent console server(5008). I checked all the default values (baudrate parity and so on) and all are configured correctly. The baudrate is set to default value of 19200 on Avocent & I've also double-checked the f5 with "tmsh show sys console" and also in AOM. This is not a new build up, it is a recabling of console connection to "new" console server. The issue is that once I pick the F5 from the ts_menu and authenticate myself with the password the session is stuck. (No Rx bytes) Is it possible that the console port on F5 got stuck after re-cabling ? Is there a way to check it via webui and/or cli ?709Views0likes3CommentsRDP sessions terminating intermittantly
We have APM set up to create RDP sessions dynamically. This all works but on occasion the users report being dropped out of the RDP session every 30 seconds. However it runs for days without issue. Done some investigation and there is some suggestion the F5 may be using the RDP console session and when our internal remote access system connects which uses the console session the F5 user is 'kicked out' with a 'Connection Reset' error displayed (and we can see the server sending a connection reset to F5) Any suggestions on the truth of this (I can't seem to find confirmation) and/or a way around the issue?
