Inactivity timeout
2 TopicsAPM session inactivity timeoute VS. TCP idle timout
Hi, I'm confused by these two settings and the relation between them. I have a VS with client and server TCP profile which has 600 seconds Idle Timeout (the keep alive interval is 1800 seconds, so I guess it's not a factor here). This VS as APM profile with a Inactivity Timeout setting of 900 seconds. What exactly is the relation between these two settings? Does it mean that APM sessions will never reach 900 seconds and users will be disconnected after 600 seconds? ThanksSolved1.5KViews0likes1CommentF5 APM Inactivity timeout behavior
Hi, With reference to APM used in conjunction with VMware Horizon View and this article:https://support.f5.com/csp/article/K12300, I have a couple of queries : 1. How does APM detect whether or not a user is inactive ? 2. When the inactivity timeout kicks in, what does it do ? Mark the session state as locked or something ? Does it also pass some message to VMware Horizon View Connection Server ? 3. When the inactivity timeout kicks in, does APM close already launched applications/desktops ? 3a. If YES, how does it do that ? Does it have visibility into launched applications/desktop OR does it talk toVMware Horizon View Connection Server to get that done ? 3b. If NO, how does it keep existing applications as is, esp. ifVMware Horizon View Connection Server closes them, when inactivity timeout kicks in ? Thanks in advance !648Views0likes1Comment
