Virtual address subnet ?

In case of network segmentation maintained by firewall for all the application placed , do we need to segment virtual ip as well according the segmented application ( POOL MEMBERS ) ? Is there any risk in the case of security by placing all the virtual address in the same network subnet for the exisiting segmented application ?
