Replace 10g fiber module on i2800

I have to replace a faulty fiber module on one of two redundant i2800's. What are the steps to do so that will ensure a safe and easy process? Yes this is my first time doing this.. What I plan to do is to put affected node in standby, validate that secondary node is now active. Next put affected node to off-line status, swap out SFP, reconnect fiber and bring up on-line. Just need to have clarification on proper procedures
