LTM to GTM communication - difference in big3d versions

Hi All,

Quick question on bigd3 versions.

LTMs are running on 11.6.1 and the GTM is on 11.6.0. These are upgraded a hour ago, at the moment I'm seeing no errors. But as they are in different versions, will the GTM marks the LTM as down in future.?

GTM:

[root@DC1-f5g1:Active:Standalone] config  /shared/bin/big3d -v 
/shared/bin/big3d version big3d Version 11.6.0.4.0.420 for linux

LTM:

[root@DC1-f5l2:Standby:In Sync] config  /shared/bin/big3d -v     
/shared/bin/big3d version big3d Version 11.6.1.0.0.317 for linux

Please suggest me how to fix this, I have around 85 application on this LTMs, I don't want this big3d version differences cause any issues.

Recommendation is actually to have same big3d version on both :

Personally I had different versions running on my VEs but I havent found any issues but do not risk it. You can force update of the bigip3d but I did that only from GTM to LTM not other way around :

DNS/GTM/BIG-IP communication

Monitored BIG-IP systems must run the same or newer big3d version as the DNS / GTM devices that are monitoring them.

From an experience perspective, I have updated LTM first before upgrading GTM. To prevent any unforeseen issues, you are better off upgrading the GTM asap.
