iApp - Read External Data-group content, is it possible?

The issue we have is that we use an iApp to create an external datagroup from an external file (source-path) containing a list of IP addresses. When we deploy the iApp, we- would like to automatically create a node object for each of the IP addresses in the datagroup.

 

Is it doable?
