I have 2 F5 in HA (Active-standby configuration) with a gateway-failsafe enabled. What would be my ending HA status if the following happens in order:
1. Primary (Active) lost connection to gateway 2. Secondary (Standby) lost connection to gateway
My initial understading here is that: Secondary will become active, then stay active if both of the gateways for each F5 device is unreachable. Considering no Auto-fail back configured.
So Endstate would be Primary (Standby) Secondary(active)
@teemo_13 I'm pretty sure the end result would be active/active situation both trying to own the floating IP for the subnets that they are attached to but I could be wrong on this.
In the past for me the two devices entered an Offline mode and neither processed traffic but this was on VM machines and an old version, so better test it but now you can select what kind of action you want reboot/failover/offline and tmm restart etc.
