That's a great point to illustrate! The profile server has to be "recompiled" in tmm micro kernel to update configuration changes. It lives in a static state when a save is made so de-applying/re-applying updates the virtual and forces the new config save with updated data. I will add this that requirement to the article.

 

There are several places where a profile or virtual server will not see changes until it's "saved" again to recompile in tmm.
