I know this is an old post, but I would like to ask a question. While I have this working for SharePoint 2016 without a problem, I have this other web app that only supports SAML 2.0. How hard would it be to update this to send a 2.0 assertion? I've been reading a couple of items made it sound like I could use the F5 to do it natively with out the need of a full ADFS then I read something else that says I need a full fledged ADFS. The web app I'm trying to get to work is manageengine ServiceDesk Plus. Thank you for any information.
