can be Overview
This is a script which will generate a report of the BigIP LTM configuration on all your load balancers making it easy to find information and get a comprehensive overview of virtual servers and pools connected to them.
This information is used to relay information to our NOC and developers to give them insight in where things are located and to be able to plan patching and deploys. I also use it myself as a quick way get information or gather data used as a foundation for RFC's, ie get a list of all external virtual servers without compression profiles.
The script has been running on 13 pairs of load balancers, indexing over 1200 virtual servers for several years now and the report is widely used across the company and by many companies and governments across the world.
It's easy to setup and use and only requires guest permissions on your devices.
Demo/Preview
Please note that it takes time to make these so sometimes they're a bit outdated and they only cover one HA pair. However, they still serve the purpose of showing what you can expect from the report.

This is to avoid flooding the F5 with pool polling requests. Imagine in our setup if someone went to the virtual server view and selected "Show all" below, and marked preferences to expand all pools. On our setup that would generate around 12,000 pool status requests every poll cycle. That seems a bit excessive. :)

I bumped it to 50 and it's still disabled :(
Ohh wait.. Now it's working for some reason... Wow, it's kinda testy, ain't it? I guess it knew I was disappointed in it so it goes its act together! :)
I see why! It appears that it does a couple cycles where it says 'disabled' then it'll start working. But before when I had 2 pools set it never enabled.
All good now! Thanks!!
Great to hear Lucern. The polling was a pain to develop and I know it takes a bit of patience to set up. But I reckon it's worth it in the long run.

Can I run this on CentOS? not in windows?

The current version is written in Powershell using an iControl Snap in. This only works on Windows. I've experimented with calling the SOAP services directly from powershell. If we converted that portion, then it would run on powershell on any platform.
The output files can be hosted by any web server, but the generation process only runs on Windows.

I think I found a bug.
When one of your BigIPs is turned off/shutdown but it's still left in the "bigipreportconfig" the bigip-report will load, but only show a blank page. After removing the device that was turned off/shutdown everything was showing again.
Keep up the good work with this!
Hi Johan
Thanks for reporting. Which version are you running?

In the Beta config there is an option for "ErrorReportAnyway" which generates the report even when some load balancers are unreachable. Are you running the Beta? Do you have this option set?
