I would highly recommend not powering down by hitting the power button. As with any operating system, you should shut it down properly. I don't believe there is a shutdown/restart command in the GUI ( I could be wrong ). The preferred way is to shell into the box with ssh and issue either the "shutdown" or "reboot" commands. This will allow the operating system to clean up the file system to avoid future corruption.
As for the error you are seeing, this looks like a configuration problem on the server. The fact that a reboot fixed it tells me that your device was in a bad state. If this persists, I'd recommend contacting F5 Technical Support directly to help diagnose the problem.
