Why we encountered a IP conflict in the HA Configuration?

We configured two BigIP2600 to have a HA configuration, we setup one of the interface to communicate to one another as point-to-point or direct LAN connection for the config-sync. This interface didn't run in the network but based on the error we encountered it shows us a IP conflict notification in the logs which caused on of the services to go offline.

 

Interface settings: Port description: access VLAN tag: 4093 OS running is: 12.1.2.0.0.249

    A bit more information may be helpful. Can you include the output from the following:

    tmsh list cm device-group all-properties
tmsh list net vlan all-properties
tmsh list net self all-properties

    Placing two BIG-IPs in an HA A/S configuration (more properly speaking, creating a DSC with two members in a Failover group for a single floating Traffic-Group) should not, by itself, create IP conflicts. Naturally, you must not define the same non-floating self-IP on both units.
