  • The serial number is a positive integer assigned by the CA to certificate. It is unique for each certificate issued.

     

    The integer is referenced as Hexadecimal for ease of readability (this is why it looks like a MAC address - A MAC address is referenced as a 48 bit hex number)

     

    No, this will not cause you any problems.
