Oct 02, 2017why enable auto last hop for layer 2 npath v/s
hi there, i don't get why we have to ensure autolasthop is enabled. The return traffic will not go thru the LTM. From the guide:
Configuring the Connection.Autolasthop bigdb key
To ensure that nPath routing works correctly, you must verify that the bigdb configuration key connection.autolasthop is set to enable. This is relevant for both IPv4 and IPv6 addressing formats. To verify that this bigdb key is enabled, type this command at the tmsh prompt:
modify sys db Connection.Autolasthop value enable

Which documentation are you looking at?
It is not actually required, and this step has been removed from the V11.6 and later documentation:
Overview: Layer 2 nPath routing
