Why does ramcache ignore cach-control by default?

Greetings -

 

We are in the process of implementing RamCache (http-lan-optimized-cache) for drupal (pressflow). Pressflow does have some cache control headers, although I'm not sure how good they are. Does anyone have experience with caching drupal and why does the RamCache ignore Cache-Control by default?

 

 

Also, is there any way to list ALL objects in the cache or atleast by pattern matching URIs?
