Why did I need to reboot the routers?
Hello guys,
Just a Mickey Mouse question please.
I needed to replace a production box by using a strongbox. I uploaded the configuration and I was sure that everything went fine with the strongbox. I connected the strongbox, but I did not succeed in anything. All the services were down, even the internal user´s navigation. They could not go out to the Internet.
I rebooted the routers of the ISPs and everything worked. Why? I am just managing static routing pointing to the routers and servers. It is supposed that no matter device I connect, there must be connectivity. I am not having any kind of security in the routers.
I am having a link controller module (v10.2.4) with no Advanced Protocols licensed.
Thanks
LP

Hi LP,
If you can provide more details (error messages) on the devices perhaps it might help those formulate a possible solution to your issue.

Hi Luis,
I guess it was just the ARP cache of your routers. Often a simple failover of your F5 gear followed by G-ARPs for all virtual addresses helps to update your routers ARP cache.
Also deleting the router´s ARP may help.
Thanks, Stephan
