Which version of Icontrol i should use

All of our API's are backward compatible to v9.0 so you are safe with going with the latest SDK's/toolkits. If you are using .Net or Java, I'd suggest you go with our libraries for those toolkits located in the "iControl Assembly" project under the "Labs" menu.

 

 

The only issue that may come up is if you try to use a method that is not on your platform. In that case, you will get a standard error back stating that the method cannot be found. The online iControl documentation contains the versions each method was introduced in so you should be able to determine while writing you apps if that method is available on your target platform.
