which plane is used for snmp traffic

Hi,   please let me know which plane is used in case of snmp alerts. cant we use data plane for the same? also how can i check the throughput of the dedicated management interface?

Management plane is used for SNMP. SNMP should give you throughput of management interface or usual linux style commands e.g. ifconfig
