Jan 30, 2018When UCS / when SCF
Please help... these 2 terms almost referrencing to the same concepts for backup/restore. But i want to understand the logic behind when to use one versus the other.
- In which circumstances i should perform/use/take a UCS versus SCF file? meaing ... what scenario do i take a USC file and what scenario do i take a SCF file config for backup and restore.
- What makes them different one from each other?
Thanks.-

An ucs is a full archive of the whole configuration. It is used during version migration, hardware migration.
A scf file may only be copied to the same version as the source appliance. It can be used to merge multiple appliances configuration into one appliance.
