Most of the scripts have done real work with have been written in python as I decided to learn python when I started playing with iControl. That said I have also played with done a very little with Perl and Powershell as well. Python -> pycontrol v2 Python -> pycontrol v1 Perl -> SOAP::Lite Powershell -> iControl Cmdlets

Python -> pycontrol v2Powershell ->iControl.dll

I'm using C as I many of my users are admins and I don't want to embed credentials into a clear text language.

Joe: do I really need to even answer this one :)

I use c mainly because I give our developers access and they need to bulk enable and disable pool members (each server is a member of 10+ pools)

I use the following two variants:

C/.Net -> iControl Assembly (with a nice GUI interface)
Perl -> SOAP::Lite (for small command line scripts)

I'm familiar with Perl too. But Java is convenient for me because I could find API samples and documents for java easily.
