Apr 10, 2018What are the units in output of tmctl virtual_server_cpu_stat?
I have a user who is concerned about our F5 CPU consumption. Looking at the output of tmctl virtual_server_cpu_stat, we see some figures exceeding 200...
tmctl virtual_server_cpu_stat
...
/Common/xyz-VS 2143543782237728 234 250 248
/Common/abc-VS 700776669167712 90 90 92
show ltm virtual shows cpu a only 2%:
tmsh show ltm virtual xyz-VS
...
CPU Usage Ratio (%)
Last 5 Seconds 2
Last 1 Minute 3
Last 5 Minutes 2
My assertion is that the output of tmctl virtual_server_cpu_stat is load average, not cpu%. This makes sense, the numbers from tmctl virtual_server_cpu_stat are about equal to the number of concurrent connections to the virtual.
Is this assertion correct?
Thanks w
