What are the difference between STATISTIC_CLIENT_SIDE_TOTAL_CONNECTIONS and STATISTIC_CLIENT_SIDE_CURRENT_CONNECTIONS
I think understand current client side. Not sure how total is different. Also which is used for computing "New Connections"?
I've tried using both to compute "New Connections" but neither matches what I show on my dashboard on the admin gui.

Total Connections is a counter value. This value will continue to rise as new connections are made.
Current Connections is a gauge value. It represents the number of connections at a specific moment in time.
I would guess that new connections represent the number of additional connections since the last sample period.
