The F5 is between station machines and webservice server. Between webservice server and DB i have nothing.
Yes F5 send helth check to the webservice servers.

CirrusI would check to see if that health check results in queries to the DB. If so I would investigate that a bit to see if the health check may be possibly causing the webservers to open to many sessions to the DB.
