webMethods 7.1 Behind F5 Connection Drops.

Hello there, I am a newbie to this board!!! And not a network guy. (I am primarily a webMethods Developer)

 

 

Our systems & network folks are testing putting webMethods Integrations Server. When they did this the connection from the webMethods Developer client on my desktop to the webMethods IS server drops every 5 minutes, like clockwork. The unix systems folks and network folks are trying to debug this, and not yet finding the magic button.

 

 

Has anybody seen this behavior before?

 

 

Can someone give me a couple of ideas that I might be able to pass on to our F5 & systems folks to look at?

 

 

Any thoughts would be welcomed,

    Hi Paul,

     

     

    It sounds like LTM is reaping the idle connection after the idle tiemout expires. By default the stock TCP profile idle timeout is set to 300 seconds (5min). You can change this by creating a custom TCP profile with a longer idle timeout. SOL6532 (Click here) and SOL7606 (Click here) have details on this.
