Weblink to Password Reset Site

I have tried searching the site, but can't find a solution (or I'm wording the question wrong). We use AD authentication for our portal and internally run a self service portal to enable users to reset their forgotten passwords / unlock their accounts. We have the change password option available, but our users are a PITA and generally forget their password... I would like to be able to present access to this portal externally, need to know whether I can achieve this via APM - rather than having to put the self service portal in the DMZ. Any ideas / suggestions appreciated.
