Mar 06, 2010web proxy response time
Hi,
I am have some web proxies which have slow down issues at time. Currently we just monitor port 8080 and if it fails they are marked down. I am after someway to monitor the web browsing speed/response, and alert, rather than mark down if the health check fails.
I am thinking of having the both monitors assigned to the pool and required both to fail for the member to be marked down.
Any advice people have would be good.
Thanks,
David

Hi David,
I like the idea of generating an alert if a "performance" monitor fails. But I think the only time an alert is generated is when a pool member is marked down--not when a monitor fails. Your best bet might be to increase the timeout period on your monitor so that the pool member has more time to respond before being marked down.
