we want to stop the manual EDGE client update for clients where the edge client package already has component update set as yes.
seems not possible unless a new package installed
"The Component Update setting is part of the BIG-IP Edge Client install package. After installing the BIG-IP Edge Client, this setting cannot be modified on the client device, unless the BIG-IP Edge Client is re-installed on the client device using an installation package that contains the setting. When you change this setting on the BIG-IP APM server, the BIG-IP Edge Client does not automatically detect and use the new setting."

Hello, Unfortunately I do not believe there is a way around this setting. You will need to reinstall the client with this setting off.
