VS same as Self IP

Hi Everyone,

 

I want to know if someone has tried this and if this is possible or not. Is it possible to have the VS on the same IP address as the Self or Floating IP for the F5 unit?

    Yes, it is possible. Caveats listed here:

    We do this with our GTMs. Listeners are created on the floating self IP address and it works fine.

    Yes you are right we do it on GTM but if you also recall we do allow the DNS port on the floating or self IP to accept the query for those ports. So the question comes what if I need to use the port 443 which is used by the box GUI by default and I can't change it. So will it be right to say that it's possible to use self and floating ip on ports other than 443 and 80.
