VPN as windows service

Hello,

Here at our company we have many people using the VPN client from different countries.

From out IT department we take over those computers we take over those pc's (with windows rdp and vnc) and perform serveral tasks like installation of software.

End users dont have the rights to do so.

Is there a way to run the firepass VPN as a windows service so the connection will stay open when i log off the user? (so i can logon with different credentials).

I have seen other programs who start a vpn connection as windows service.

I know for many things i can use the standard windows "run as" option but that doesnt work for everything.

With Regards,

Well, with the API available to you, there's no reason that I know of that you couldn't build an application that wrapped the API calls, and ran as a service on the desktops in question.

I do not, however, know of an inherent way to run an FP client as a service. You'd need to build a custom Windows application, run that as a service, and have it perform the necessary iControl calls.
