VLANs and Route Domains

Hi All

I am busy with configuring VSs where Route Domains are set. The current configuration has a VLAN assigned to a Route Domain which is set for a particular Partition. Everything is working perfectly.

The issue comes in now that I need to deploy some new configurations that is using the same VLAN that is set for that particular Route Domain. What I can see is that that particular VLAN is now only available for the Partition as it is configured for that Route Domain.

Any suggestions on how I can make that VLAN available for the entire system again, besides having to reconfigure the Route Domain Configurations?

I am using vCMPs with multiple VLANs assigned to a guest.

  • i dont have experience with vCMP but i have worked with route domains. The only way I see you can do it is to move VLAN out of the RD to the default RD which should be "0". Keep in mind if there is configuration items on the VLAN you will need to remove it first as the unit will surely throw an error.
