vlan failsafe

Hi Experts,

We ve a pair of F5's in HA mode, carrying 100s of vlans. F5 pair is in Active-Standby mode. Vlan failsafe is enabled on each of the vlan.

Question is - if one of the vlan is removed without removing failsafe on it, failover will trigger or not? If not, why not?

  • What do you mean by removed? Removed from the F5, or removed from the downstream switch? If you remove it from the downstream switch, yes, failover will trigger.
