Virtual Sever Subnet

Hi,   I have a subnet of /25 rang for selecting VIP's, So now my question is can I use all 128 IP's (0 - 127 ) for creating Virtual server or only 126 IP's excluding Network ID & Broadcast address...

Hi,

 

If the subnet is routed to the F5 and not locally connected (self IP configured), you can use all IPs of it.

 

Network and broadcast are only used when configuring configuring an IP with netmask. As there is no need to create the subnet before creating the VS, TMOS does not know what is the subnet routed to it.

 

If the subnet is configured with self IP, you must not use network and broadcast IPs.
