Virtual server with only one conection at time (ICALL or IRULE)
Hi, I am planning to make a Virtual server that can handle one connection, and if other connection tries to connect to the same virtual server, the big IP must drop the already established connection and accept the new one.
It just needs to be one connection per time. I already try with an Irule using TCP closed and a virtual server with a limit of one. But I couldn't make it work.
Thanks.
Maybe the 'Connection Limit' in the Virtual Server advanced settings works for you. Try setting it to 1.
Connection Limit: Specifies the maximum number of concurrent connections allowed for the virtual server. Setting this to 0 turns off connection limits. The default is 0.

Did you try the "Connection Limit" on the virtual server settings?

But the iRule solution should work as well, but you need to us the table command to get it working right. check out the http throttling irule, not exactly the same use case, but it can help you structure your irule.
