Virtual Server IPs missing when querying via SNMP

Hi,

 

 

When using SNMP walk to get the Virtual Server names (base: .1.3.6.1.4.1.3375.2.2.10.2.3.1.1) all virtual servers are returned and all is well.

 

 

When then trying to find the IP address associated with the virtual servers (base: .1.3.6.1.4.1.3375.2.2.10.1.2.1.3), I find that some entries are missing.

 

 

Any ideas what is going on here - is it a bug in the SNMP implementation, or some weird configuration issue?

 

 

Im on BIG-IP 9.4.6 Build 401.0 Final running on a 3600 LTM.

    Just in case anyone stumbles upon this with a similar issue, the problem was due to Net SNMP translating the IP addresses stored as HEX strings into ASCII characters and trying to display them. A quick read of the SNMP manual and telling it to treat the HEX as strings resolved the issue.

    Thanks for clarifying. Out of curiosity, what SNMP server are you testing with? Or is it a custom tool using Perl?

    Its a home brew php script using Net SNMP. It provides a single view of our systems from an external IP address, NAT to internal address, DNS and Big-IP configuration. Life saver when trying to troubleshoot complex multi-node systems!
