Virtual Server Address not appearing in Virtual Address List

I'm currently in the process of configuring my BigIP LTM 8900 to receive upstream data feeds for load balancing to a collection of landing zone servers. I've configured a self-IP on my internal landing zone subnet and am able to reach devices there, and have done the same for the external partner / data feed provider subnet as well. This self-IP is the same as the Virtual Server address I've configured, as there is limited available space on the external subnet (assuming this is not a problem based on other documentation reviewed). VS/Pools/Members/Nodes are green from end to end which is a promising sign.

However, I've noticed that in my Virtual Address List does not show the IP of the virtual server that I currently have connected and showing online in the LTM GUI. The two VS destinations that are currently disconnected are reporting fine. I will point out that I have multiple virtual servers at the same IP address (the one that is not appearing in the VAL) for different service ports. Is this an expected behavior / will there be any service impact of the Virtual Address List not containing my Virtual Server IP? What would be causing this behavior?

Thanks!

  • What version are you running? On my 11.6 box the self-ip does appear on the virtual address list after creating a virtual server to utilize that address. Does it show up at the command line? tmsh list /ltm virtual-address
