VIPRON stpd daemon messages

As for the VIPRON chassis

in the /var/log/ltm log file, many logs having the following synatx

Mar 21 11:00:21 slot1/bigip1 err stpd[11101]: 01290003:3: Attempt to send 16 bytes to inettcp://127.3.0.2:4401 timed out after 9 seconds
Mar 21 11:00:21 slot1/bigip1 err stpd[11101]: 01290003:3: Attempt to send 16 bytes to inettcp://127.3.0.3:4401 timed out after 9 seconds

This subnet is for the "mgmt_bp" interface.

If the chassis has only one blade,and if we disable this interface "ifconfig mgmt_bp down" will be there any problem?

    If check the file /etc/hosts, you see that represents each blade slots. 127.3.0.1 represents the first slot1, 127.3.0.2 second, etc...

     

    Not sure if there will be any impact in disabling that. Anyway, looks like you facing this known issue described in this solution:
