Version Update Considerations

Hi, Is there any specific considerations while upgrade of LTM Version from 11.3.0 to 11.6 Release.

Most notably HTTPclass objects are replaced by LTM policies. Recommend to delete all HTTP classes before attrmpting an upgrade. After the installation is done, create LTM policies with the same functionality from a scratch.

 

If you don't have ASM installed, your upgrade experience should be quite smooth but a few errors are to be expected. Fix them as you encounter them.

 

Also, if I may ask, what are your considerations to prefer 11.6 to 11.5.1? The majority of companies would not consider 11.6 for production systems at this point.
