VDI CITRIX deployment in BIGIP ASM
I have deployed ASM solution in my environment for BIGIP. I have to integrate VDI application with BigIP .Our BIGIP is licensed only with ASM & AFM . Current flow of application is request comes from client to Netscalar gateway .After login, Netscalar SNIP initiates request to my virtual desktops on behalf on client. Now if I want to integrate this with BIGIP as per citrix deployment guide, we will need to create two different virtual servers , one for netscalar gateway & other for virtual desktop farm. But I have some queries: 1) Citrix deployment guide is for APM & LTM , can IAPP be deployed if I just have AFM & ASM license 2)What is ICA traffic ? 3)Can DDC servers & ICA servers be same or different? 4)Will this deployment guide help in my case?

F5 ASM is for Web (HTTP/HTTPS) traffic only.
VDI traffic is a completely different protocol - it has nothing to do with ASM.
You need an LTM license if you want to load-balance VDI.
ICA is a proprietary Citrix protocol.

Yes, there is no ASM integration with VDI, only LTM, APM and AFM. See the F5 VDI Deployment Guide - it has a good description and several diagrams demonstrating the integration:
