Vcmp Guest HA config on 5250v
If I understood you correctly, you have configured self IPs on the vcmp hosts? That's not needed. Also, you do not need to touch the interfaces on your vcmp guest systems, they are passed on by the host in the right way automatically.
The vcmp hosts should both be configured as standalone devices, not being part of any device group. Then, create all the VLANs you need for your vcmp guests on the hosts first, and assign the correct physical interfaces (tagged/untagged) of the host(s) to them. After that, assign the VLANs to the appropriate vcmp guest. This is also done on the hosts. The VLANs will be present on the guest automatically after that. Do not touch them on the guests. Then, create self IPs within the VLANs on the vcmp guests only. Do not configure any IP addresses on the host (besides management).
I hope this works out for you.
Best regards
Martin
