VCMP guest deployed, but does not appear under VCMP guest status
I have a pair of 7200s running active/active, with four vcmp guests each that run active/standby between them. I noticed that one of the vcmp guests doesn't show up under "guest status," the same guest on both chassis. Does anyone have any experience troubleshooting something like that? The chassis are running 12.1.3, and the "delinquent" vcmp guest is running 11.5.4 HF1. The other guests are currently running 12.1.2 HF2 and 13.0.0 HF3. I intend to upgrade all guests to their current rev's latest maintenance release. The 11.5.4 one I'll upgrade to 11.5.5 (rather than 12.x) due to an older app running behind it (long story...).
Thanks!

Do you have partitions?
Do you see the guest via command line? Should be something like:
tmsh list vcmp guest tmsh show vcmp guest

It turns out this is expected behavior for pre-11.6.0 guests. The F5 engineer's response is below...
=================
vmchannel for host <--> guest communication was only introduced in 11.6.0
So there's no way to see health info for their 11.5.4 guests.
from 11.6.0 release notes: https://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/products/big-ip_ltm/releasenotes/product/relnote-ltm-11-6-0.html
vCMP guest data visible from host This version provides a summary of vCMP guest data from within the vCMP host. This data facilitates access to the current state of each guest. The BIG-IP Configuration utility shows the current active software image, the provisioned modules, and HA status. You can access each guest for additional information, such as Installed Images and Available Images, and other Resource Provisioned information such as License Status, Required Disk and Required Memory. The Guest name link opens the guest's Properties tab. The HA Status shows a Failed link when there is an HA Status failure. The link opens the guest's HA Status tab.

Case closed... Thanks for responding!

You're most likely running into this bug:
Bug ID 712241: A vCMP guest may not provide guest health stats to the vCMP host
- jkuNimbostratus
We had the same problem. The trigger was a different clock setting (24h vs AM/PM) on Host and vCMP. The problem has occurred with every version so far. We are currently on 15.1.1.
After correcting and rebooting the vCMP, the status was displayed correctly.
Check the setting on vCMP and Host under ...: "System" - "Preferences" - "Clock"
Maybe this will help you further 😉
