Dec 10, 2009v10.1 GTM iRules support?
Hi Joe,
I was trying to test a GTM iRule on v10.1.0 (still a beta that we have) and noticed that I don't have an option to view or create a GTM iRule via the iRuler. Did something with iControl change in v10.1 that prevents the current iRuler from working with GTM iRules?
Thanks,
Aaron

What version of the Editor are you using? I am on the 0.10.0.0 version and I can edit/create/delete GTM iRules just fine. - JRahm

I'm using a 10.1 release candidate though, not the beta. - hoolio

I'm running BIG-IP 10.1.0 57.0 and iRuler v0.10.0.0. I wonder if it might be due to some customizations one of our .net devs made for us.
I've uploaded a screenshot of what I see (or don't for GTM rules).
Aaron - The iRule Editor checks the product features from the System.SystemInfo.get_product_information() method to determine whether GTM Rules are supported. It looks for the feature "GTM Rules".
I just ran the method off of my v10.1 RTM box and the following GTM features were returned from the SystemInfo.get_product_information() method.GTM Failover To One Data Center
GTM Monitors
GTM Rules
Can you make an iControl call to determine the product features returned on your system? The SystemInfo perl sample in the SDK works nicely and you can run it from your BIG-IP CLI. Let me know if you need a copy and I'll post it.
