Using Macros across APM Polcies??

I have an APM policy of type SSL-VPN and one of type ALL. I have tried to modify the bigip.conf but it spit out an error saying that you cannot modify the type after it has been created. I created some useful Macros in the SSL-VPN policy that I want to re-use not have to re-create in the other APM policy. In the documentation online I found the following which doesn't do me any favors :) " Macros you create in one policy do not appear, and cannot be used, in another access policy. "
