Using FirePass with Windows Live OneCare installed

I am not able to get FirePass to VPN connect when my Windows Live OneCare Firewall is turned on. If i completely disable the firewall then i can establish a connection normally. How do I configure OneCare FireWall to allow FirePass VPN split tunnel connection. I believe the same problem exists with the standard Windows firewall that comes with Windows XP SP2.
  • I can verify that the same problem does exist -- in some cases -- with the regular Windows Firewall. Are there any ways to make an exception to allow the firepass connection to be made?

I can certainly do the research, but if somebody already knows, please spill it.

    Thanks,

  • I'm using thr F5 Web-based VPN client under Vista with OneCare and have the same issue. I have to turn off the OneCare Firewall to get it to work. I have seen that the VPN client files seem to be loaded into a download directory, but I cannot determine where, or I would try adding those specific files to the exceptions list.
  • We have the same issue and have tried exceptions with no luck. I don't think the two are compatible. We're seeing a lot of people installing OneCare and this is a big problem.
  • You need to allow for two processes to get through the firewall.

    tunnel.exe and I believe another f5 component.
