Throughput and requests per second vary based on a wide number of factors including the platform, build, and most importantly application specifics. Some of the application specifics include the number of first time visits vs repeat visits, how much of the content is cacheable, how much of the content needs to be proxied or refreshed on a regular basis, and what is the size of the content. For a site that serves large objects the throughput will be higher and the requests per second will be lower. For a site that has lots of small objects the requests per second will be higher and the throughput will be lower. It is very difficult to provide numbers without additional information on the application.
