Uniquely identify BigIP systems
Hi, In my environment I have, probably like most people, multiple groups of BigIP LTMs: Test, Production, and DR. I was wondering if someone has a way to make the config GUI look unique among the different environments, such as the word "Test" or "Production" next to the F5 logo. I am concerned that someone (probably me) will make a change to the wrong BigIP pair.
Thanks, Robert

you can do that with 11.6 (HF4.. not sure about the previous HFs).
Go to System / Preferences
There is now a new option "Show Advisory Banner" to enable and then you can put a one-line text with a color. Very useful.

We use host names that include an identifier that means test or Prod to us. Another option is to add a unique custom banner in System > Preferences Security Banner Text To Show On The Login Screen Here you can add what ever you want and they will see it when they get the logon prompt. If they can't see that then they shouldn't be on the system.
Thanks for the suggestions. I was hoping for something on the main configuration page in addition to the login page. I'll keep looking, and in the meantime we'll be careful.
- what amolari suggests is pretty clear on every screen.
