unable to access a partition via the web interface
I have an LTM 4000 and a GTM 2000. The software version is 11.5.3.2.0.196. I have an administrative partition created, but the partition drop down menu on the web management page is grayed out. I am logged in as an administrator, and my remote role group is set up with partition access: all. I CAN log into the tmsh CLI with the same credentials and cd into the new partition. Why am I able to access the partition from CLI but not via the web console?

I have found that the drop down is grayed out depending on what page of the GUI you are on. Can you click on Local Traffic, Virtual Servers, and then change partitions?

Huh.
If I am on the Local Traffic section, I can indeed click on the new partition name in the drop down list. Thank you.
However, I was under the impression that when I entered the new partition I would not be seeing the virtual servers and pools configured in the Common partition. I cannot update or delete them, but I do see them all. Is that proper behavior?

Yes. They will always show up in the list when you're in another partition. If it gets to be bothersome when you're looking at something, you could filter the list on the partition name.
