Two Monitors - 1 has Disabled string configured
Hi Forum,
I would normally just try this, but I dont have access to my F5 lab today.
I have VS not on port 80, but will have a 2nd monitor added to check the HTTP server is available before passing marking it up for the other service.
If the two monitors on a VS, and one is configured to reconise a receive disable string set. What will happen to the members if one monitor is passing (none http monitor) and one is http and matching disabled string.
Say for example FTP monitor is passing HTTP monitor is mathching disabled string, (with Alias Port)
Does it stay online or go disabled ?
Sorry i would normally just try it, but I cant at the moment

Monitors are configured at the pool level. If one of them pass and another fail, status depends on the setting that you have. Depending on if the status is determined by ALL the monitors or by any one, it may be marked up or down.

I've just run this up in my lab. My pool has both monitors applied and the result is that the pool member is disabled but still healthy.
