Topology records configuration in DNS

Hi,

I've configured a couple of WIPs on the GTM, for which we are using Topology load balancing.

The topology records have been configured as Source IP subnet and destination as Pool with specified weights.

Now, we have the same Source IP Subnets for different WIPs, but pointing towards different pools.

So is there a chance of intermittent loss of connection and incorrect load balancing?

Need your help on this.

    • Can you provide your current Wideip, Pool and Topology configuration
  • For topology to work correctly, make sure that your LDNS is designed to work as per your desired topology. Alternatively, your end host needs to use F5 DNS directly as a dns server. It all depends as how your DNS server architecture has been designed.

  • Thanks for the responses.

The issue got resolved after providing the specific Pool based topology records.
